What it is
An open-source AI assistant that runs on your own computer and answers in the chat apps you already use, including Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord and Signal. It is stewarded by the OpenClaw Foundation, a non-profit.
Install
macOS, Linux

Windows PowerShell

npm
$ npm install -g openclaw@latest --allow-scripts=openclaw
Start
$ openclaw onboard --install-daemon
$ openclaw dashboard
Onboarding installs the background daemon; "openclaw gateway status" checks it.
Commands are copied from the source on the checked date. Installers change; if one fails, the source link has the current version.
